SMS Info
The price information in the system can also be accessed by sending an SMS message. This can be done by sending an SMS message to the number:

The system will reply with an SMS message indicating the price for a product in the market. It will also indicate contact details of traders and producers.
Step1.
The first step in using the SMS message system is the find the product-code of the product you are interested in and market-code for which you want to find the price.
The product-codes and market-codes are listed at the bottom of this page.
For example you can find in the tables that the product-code for Lettuce is 201, the market-code for Samaki market is 701.
Step 2.
The second step is to send a message requesting the price. This is done by sending the following message:
product-code market-code
For example if we would like to find the price for Lettuce in the Samaki market we send:
201 701
Step 3.
The system will reply with a message indicating the price and the number of traders and producers in the market.
For example, if the reply message is: 701:R650(T2/P1)[Date:10.09]
- 701 indicates the market-code: Samaki market
- R650 indicates the price, 650 Riel.
- T2 indicates there are 2 traders in the Samaki Market selling Lettuce.
- P1 indicates that there is 1 producer producing Lettuce..
Step 4.
To contact the traders or producers of lettuce in the Samaki market send a message using the keyword t to find the traders or use the keyword p to find the producers. This is done by sending the following message:
- Contact traders: t product-code market-code
- Contact traders: p product-code market-code
For example to find traders or producers in the samaki market trading in lettuce , send:
- Contact traders: t 201 701
- Contact producers: p 201 701
The reply message indicates the phone numbers and names of the traders or producers. For example if the return message is:
012626266: Sambat
017547221: Sreny
This indicates that there are two traders, Sambat and Sreny. In order to contact the individual trader or producer you can use their phone number.
